one of the most interesting perspectives ive read:
"If in your personal life, in your marriage, and in your family life, if you have the Spirit with you, you are doing as well as God expects you to do given the amount of light and knowledge he has given you. You are "just" or "justified". According to Brigham Young, no matter where you are on the pathway to perfection, if you die with the Spirit, you will be allowed to contine until you reach exaltation. Therein lies the key to life--live well enough to keep the Spirit with you always." Randy L Bott Eternal Marriage : Following the Divine Plan
I wish this was taught more. Or ever.
Its true and it is a relief and it makes life more simple i think.
I often reflect on how i am doing in different apects of life.
i assess myself. i critique myself. i ask more of myself.
but this doctrine learned in the quote, makes it simple.
LIVE WELL ENOUGH TO HAVE THE SPIRIT WITH YOU AS A CONSTANT COMPANION.
whatever that needs to be. what ever changes need to be made. this is the key.
and i do testify that it is true. and it is so satisfying-- it is the only way i want to live.
